Europeana's latest developments

The Europeana Team has recently published an annual report. The report accounts for all activities and outcomes achieved over the past year, including building the technical infrastructure and automating the content ingestion process. To date, nearly six million items have been ingested and it is planned to reach 10 million for the Rhine release.

The Rhine release of Europeana.eu will make the prototype portal a fully operational service. Rhine will be formally launched in autumn 2010.
