EuropeanaConnect latest work on mobile access

EuropeanaConnect has recently submitted to the European Commission the following two deliverables:

• Rich mobile client for accessing Europeana
• Middleware and web server for accessing Europeana.

Both reports document the work carried out so far by the project to enable mobile access to Europeana cultural digital resources. The implementation of a middleware, a web server and a client application are described. The software developed by EuropeanaConnect for Europeana will enable users to access the Europeana's digital resources from their mobile devices. It contains features such as web based application, search functionality, detailed item view, etc.
